à Apr. 17: The 2008 VFRW Convention
The VA Federation of Republican Women will have their state convention on Thu, Apr 17—Sat, Apr 19 in Newport News.  Since it’s not far to travel, it’s a great opportunity to attend the meetings, meet Republican women from around the state, and hear some terrific Republican speakers.  BSRW needs memebers to represent us there as delegates and will pay the registration fees for those delegates.  Food and lodging is the responsibility of the member.  The convention will be held in Newport News Marriott in City Center.  If you have interest in attending, contact
Janet Hancock, or Joan Ryan.  More details will be available soon.  BSRWC will vote on our delegates at our March meeting.

à May 2:   Star Spangled Ball
The nineteenth annual Star-Spangled Ball will be held on May 2, 2008 at 6 pm at the Founders Inn.  The proceeds from the Star-Spangled Ball have enabled the Republican Women’s Clubs of Virginia Beach to contribute over $100,000 to Republican candidates.  This year’s dinner and dance features a silent auction, fine dining and dancing.  Tickets are $60 until April 1 and go up to $70 after that.  For reservations to this black-tie event, please contact Cathy Six at 757.650.7979.
